Construction Progress Update
Please be advised that this website is in the final stages of construction, so its general appearance will continue to change as we continue to fine-tune and "pretty it up". A major upgrade is under way to cater for smart phones, as they cannot easily handle FLASH banners. Smart phones are the "way of the future"so we must cater for them.
We are now on Facebook and Twitter
As you can see in the right hand column above the calendar, we now have Facebook and Twitter access from this website, so you can post your Facebook entries, photos and Tweets. This will make it a truly interactive, community website accessible and usable by everyone. GIVE IT A GO !
Add Comments !
Registered and Logged-in Members can now add comments to articles published on this website. This makes the website truly interactive, and community oriented. It is only available to Logged-in members for security reasons, as we will need to have editorial control over the content of comments, and be able to respond to those making comments, if necessary. You will see an "Add new Comment" option under each article, but you can only add a comment if you are Logged-in. Remember - REGISTRATION IS FREE, and is for the benefit and security of this website entire community, so get registered now!
You can Register under the Members Menu in the left column !
Please check back regularly to see what new features have been added.
Please note that the various Member's Menu options will only show when you are Logged in.
Also, on this home page everything from the latest news tickertape upwards is either an Advertising Banner or Link, so when you click on something it will display and/or refresh underneath the news tickertape (i.e. here !).
Thank you for your ongoing support. John

This week, your community's newest group was formed:
4017
Community Action Group.
Our primary focus at this time is to encourage people to write submissions objecting to Racing Queensland Limited's (RQL) proposed
redevelopment of Deagon Racecourse.
Likewise, we encourage people to lodge their objections during the normal formal submission phase. This phase could open at any time, and it is crucial that you submit/lodge your objections during this time, to make your submissions part of the formal process
with the Brisbane City Council Development Assessment Team (North).

Community Reporters Wanted
With this community website currently in its pre-launch phase we need to establish a group of regular correspondents/reporters within the postcode and surrounds, who can contribute news items and photos of events in your area or club. We would like a representation for each suburb and club, hotel or business so we have a comprehensive coverage.
The success of this community website is dependent on showing current news items and reports, forthcoming diary event details, fixtures & results and so on.
